I've been comparing two monitors for a while that I found on Amazon, and I was wondering if anyone might have some insight on a budget monitor for gaming. The ones I found are an Acer 1080p FreeSync at 75Hz (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVL2D2S/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 ), and a ViewSonic 1440p at 60Hz (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K1IO2DG/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B073ZPKKMT ). Are either these semi-good and not too expensive, or are there other monitors that might be a better choice? For reference, I have a Radeon RX 580.

Solution
Depends on what kind of applications you want to use.
If you're gaming, then the RX580 is a bit "in the middle". If you want to play ultra on all games with high FPS, then the RX580 is best with 1080p.
It can get some pretty good frame rates on 1440p, but not necessarily on all applications without lowering quality settings.

Good point, but I'm wondering if FreeSync with a slightly higher refresh rate is more worthwhile.
