I have an EVGA 650 80+ platinum edition PSU. I just recently got the ASUS 1080ti and while installing it, I found out that the 1080ti requires 2 separate 8 pin connectors. My PSU has a single 6 pin connector and a single 6+2 pin connector. Do i have to buy a new PSU or can i just buy a pin extension that connects the 6 pin to an 8 pin and use that as a replacement. I really want to use this graphics card and I'm sad I didn't catch this before hand. If i must buy a new PSU I will.

Solution
EVGA SuperNOVA 650 P2 80+ PLATINUM 650W has
2x 8pin (6+2) PCIE and 2x 6pin PCIE connectors (not 1x 6pin and 1x 6+2pin).
