Hello folks - I've got a bit of an issue where my 1080Ti does not down clock once I have my secondary monitor plugged in... it should be sitting idle with a GPU clock of 140~MHz and 800~MHz memory. However, once I plug the secondary monitor in it throttles up to 1493(out of 1987)MHz GPU and 11088MHz memory. My primary monitor is the ROG Swift 165Hz G-Sync and my secondary is an old AOC 144Hz. My original thought was that that maybe the difference in refresh rates might be to blame -but no amount of tinkering seemed to help.
The specifics for the GPU:
ASUS Strix 1080Ti OC
Driver; 385.69
V Bios; 86.02.39.00.AS08
GPU OC Software; GPU Tweak 2 V1.4.7.3
Also I'm running this on an ASUS Strix z270F Gaming motherboard with the latest BIOS.
Not sure if that's all necessary information but thanks to anyone in advance that can give me some advice.
