Hi folks

Going to be getting the 1080ti this summer, and I'm wondering which resolution would be best? I'm thinking of a 1440p g sync monitor, I have a 1080p monitor which would be used to web, do you think the 1080ti would be able to handle, also I normally wait around 3 years to upgrade would it last that long? What's the 1080ti averaging on bf1 on 1440p?

Thanks

+xfallx I would pair the 1080 Ti to either a 1440p / 165 Hz / g-sync / IPS display or any 3440 x 1440 (ultrawide 1440p) display. The latter happens to be my favorite resolution, and the 1440p is a close second.

Reference model 1080ti is pushing 100 fps @ 1440p on ultra. GTX 1080ti is a good choice for a 3 year investment.

Not really, GTX 1080ti would suit a ultra-high refresh rate 1080p monitor. If you are all about the refresh rates then the 1080 or ti is great choice!

The ti will comfortably handle all games highest settings @ 1440p 60FPS for a long time yet. If you take a look at some reviews online, (and as I mentioned) you will find that the 1080ti can often push over 100 fps @ 1440p. So you will have noting to worry about for a few years at least. 😀

A G-Sync monitor will give you a much smoother gameplay, as it matches monitor refresh rate with the GPU output. So you don't experience annoying screen tearing and stutter. Look for a high refresh rate 144hz for a G-Sync monitor to get the most out of your 1080ti. Happy Gaming xfallx!

I wouldn't call 1080p the preferred resolution, I would rather 1440p. However in articles I have seen 1080p is still the most popular by a vast majority, I guess it has a great balance of decent picture quality and cheaper hardware. I don't see that changing any time soon.

Thanks all

Is there a much difference between the 1440p and 1080p the 1080ti will have to power two monitors a 1440p and a 1080p one. Going to go for a 144hz I was looking at the intel but it's a TN monitor
