Hello,
I am in the process of upgrading my GPU and I was looking at the 1080Ti.
The thing is that some of my other components are a little old as well, and if I have to upgrade several things I probably can't afford the 1080Ti just yet.
So just after some advice if any of my other components will bottle neck the performance.
Motherboard : Asus X-79 Deluxe
Ram : 24GB 1600MHz
CPU : i7-4930K @4.2 GHz
PSU : Corsair HX1000i
I currently use a Samsung Evo 840 SSD but will be looking to get a newer slightly larger one (mine is about 5 years old and a little iffy.
Running Crossfire R290s at the moment - so I would hope to see a fairly large performance boost to outlay the cost of the 1080Ti.
Any advice would be appreciated - would hate to spend the money and not notice a lot of improvement.
At the moment I usually game in 2K because the R290s can't really handle 4K at a playable FPS.
Thanks in advance!
