Hi there
Recently installed the auros extreme 1080ti, for the first half hour of gaming everything is fine, then I notice a 50-60 fps drop in games and gpu usage goes up to 100%. I've check task manager and can confirm the only thing using the GPU is the game I'm playing. Correct drivers are installed properly using ddu. I've also noticed that hwinfo says that the card is only drawing about 150 watts of power at 100% usage when this happens.
System specs
Gpu auros extreme 1080ti
Cpu i5 9600k @ 5ghz 1.35v
Psu novatech 850w bronze plus
Mobo autos elite z390
Cooler corsair h100i v2

Gpu temps never go above 75 for the first stage when usage is about 80%. Once the fps drops and the usage goes up I notice the temps also go down to 67 degrees. The novatech psu are meant to be half decent. I had them recommended by a friend. Though it is the oldest component in my PC at 5 years. Done a time spy test today and only scored 3230. The test I did 3 days ago came in at over 9000

I had noticed that the gpu I had previously was also forcing the fps to half the monitors refresh rate after about the same amount of time gaming. Never really looked into it as I was upgrading. I have two separate 8 pin connectors from gpu to psu

It's just the oldest part of my PC and I've heard things about psu degradation. 1080p 144hz monitor. All games play solid 144 fps for the first half hour to an hour of PC being on, then drops 50-60 fps. Today it dropped to 35 and that's when I run 3d mark again getting a very low score

What about your cpu temps? The only reason I ask is because a 1080 ti is way overkill for 1080p.
