Hi there
Recently installed an auros extreme 1080ti. For the first hour of gaming everything is fine, 3dmark timespy comes in at just over 9000 which is about right for my system. After 1-2bhours of gaming I notice a drop of about 50-60 fps in whatever game I am playing. When this happens I notice the gpu usage goes from around 80% straight up to 100% but the temperatures decrease. While normally sitting around the 73 degrees mark it'll go down to 62. I have also noticed that its drawing less power from the psu once the performance drops. As I said the temps never went above 72-73 do I dont believe its temps related. When I run 3d mark after the drop in performance my score drops down to somewhere between 3000 and 5000. The correct drivers are installed, have even done a fresh windows install. I can confirm the problem resets if I turn my PC off and back on again. Though the performance will drop again after the 1-2 hour mark. System specs - Cpu i5 9600k 5ghz 1.34v Mobo autos elite z390 Ram 2 x 8gb corsair vengeance 3000mhz Psu novatech 850w v2 80+ bronze Gpu gigabyte auros extreme 1080ti

That's what my thought was
It's the oldest component in my PC, about 5 years. Novatech is a company near me dealing with specialist computer parts and such. I believe the rebrand the psu, dont make them themselves. I believe the brand is ocz or something along those lines

If you don't have high temps on your cpu then i'd be inclined to agree with the fact that it could be your power supply. You can also run msi afterburner to see peak wattage of your 1080 ti. My duke gets up to 250w and if your card doesn't come close to that power might be the problem. Also if you are playing at 1080p or lower the 1080 ti won't be fully utilized. Are your power settings set to maximum performance in windows control panel?

Cpu temps seem to average around 65, occasional spike to 70 but never higher. I do play at 1080p, the first hour or 2 of gaming everything is normal, pubg or battlefield 5 for example always at a steady 144fps at about 70-80% gpu usage. Its after an hour of 2 of gaming that I notice a drop of 50-60 fps. In the first hour I can confirm the card is pulling around 250 watts, once the performance drops it goes down to 180 watts and the usage ramps up to 100% and the temps seem to go down to about 65 degrees

Bring up monitoring software and check the GPU clocks.
Nvidia drivers will downclock the core clock if errors are detected.
It will not reset to full clocks until a reboot.
Hardware monitor
EVGA precision
MSI Afterburnet
GPUZ
any of the above programs will log results iv viewable windows.
Start the program, play your game.
When the slow downs or stuttering start check the video card core clock.

If it is downclocking you are getting errors.
If you have overclocked the card yourself, remove overclocks and try again.
If you did not overclock the card download OCCT.
Run the video card test and check the box for error checking.
Let it run for your 2 hour or so time limit or until you get errors.
If you get no errors run the power supply test for 2 hours or the card downclocks or crashes.
This test loads the CPU and GPU which loads the power supply also.
Ckeck the results for low voltage readings on the 12v rails when it downclocks.

Yes. I also did some google search, and it looks like the OEM is OCZ for some of the "novatech" PSU models.
OCZ does not make power supplies.
Their original models were SeaSonic re-brands, then they started using lower end manufacturers. So his could be a good or midrange unit but not junk either.
The original Silencers were Seasonic
