1080ti with a ryzen 1700x?????

i was wondering if the 1080ti would work well with the ryzen 1700x, would there be any bottlenecks? if i buy the 1800x would that solve the problem?thanks in advance

The 'bottleneck' would be the monitor.
What resolution is this for?
If this is just 1080p, it's pointless to go beyond 1070/1070ti.
A 1080ti won't do more than those 2 at that resolution - it's for 1440p and 4k.
An 1800x is just a higher binned 1700(x)... very little improvement there.

What resolution and Hz is your monitor? For 4K 60Hz a 1600 would be more than enough. For 1080p/1440p 144Hz+ then Intel 8600k or 8700k have a small advantage over Ryzen.

Its a great CPU but for the highest fps intel has the edge but nothing to worry about.
