Question 10th Gen iPad - - - On-screen keyboard keeps popping up when using Typecase Folio Keyboard ?

I know this forum is for iMac but I don't see any forum for iPads. Since Apple people tend to own all their garbage I figured someone here would know.

10th Gen iPad using a Typecase Folio. User (Older Lady) is having issues with the on-screen keyboard popping up on while trying to use the Typecase Folio keyboard. I went into Setting > Accessibility - Touch - Assistive Touch - under Pointer Devices you have to switch off 'Show Onscreen Keyboard'. That seems to work for a bit then doesn't. IDK if she's turning it back on or what because that doesn't fully get rid of it there is still an icon to tap and reopen it. I suspect she's doing that. From what I've read there is now way to fully disable the on-screen keyboard even if she were to get the $250 Magic Folio through Apple.
Can anyone confirm ?

Well, have you reset the device yet? Try that and see how it goes. It could also be the keeb itself, or at least the connections. Have you another to try rather than spend that amount of dough on an apple Folio?
