I'm using an old HDD I had been using for 10 years.
It works just fine, but I'm kinda worried it might fail randomly (I heard I can happen with age).
Should I copy its files to an SSD just in case and stop using it?

Like all data it should be backed up regularly. If you haven't been backing all data you are asking for trouble. Then remove the HDD drive when you are ready to do a swap.

With the proper backups as stated above, I would just use it until it actually dies, unless there are warning signs, and in either case, replace the drive and restore.
