Hi, I've had my current build for 11 months now running fine. The other day I upgraded the ram from 16 to 32 gigs, ran the computer for 15 minutes and then the power cut off.

My build:

CPU: i5-4670K 3.4GHz
Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series DDR3-1600 (ran on two 8gig sticks fine for 11 months)
GPU: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD VGeForce GTX 770
PSU: Corsair 860W ATX12V / EPS12V
HD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 500GB
Case: Corsair 650D ATX Mid Tower

As I said, the build ran fine, no complaints for 11 months with 2 8gig sticks of ram. The other night I upgraded the ram to 4 8gig sticks of the very same ram. After I booted up, I actually went to the windows properties to make sure it was reading the new sticks and it said it had 32 gigs. Fifteen minutes later I booted up a game and the power just totally cut. I know it wasn't a failure from the wall socket because my speakers and monitor still had power. So I shut off the PSU and turned it back on. The Light on the Maximus' Start button lit up but the LED on the case wasn't turning on, nor did the case on button work. I tried pressing the start button on the board to no avail. I then took out the newly placed RAM and had the same problem.

Today I stripped out everything butt the Mobo and PSU. I tried each stick of RAM one by one, but with still the same results. The Start button lights up when powered, but other than that its all dead. No beeps from the Mobo speaker, no CPU fan, nothing but the light. I'm assuming since the light comes on its not my PSU. Also, if the RAM was bad, would it really have ran fine for 15 minutes before pooping out?

Anyone have this happen with a Maximus hero or other board? Any suggestions here?
