I have a GTX560 and I am plannig to buy an intel 11400 .
Right now I can't watch 1080p60 videos without stutter.
Apparently 11400 has codecs to let me watch everything on the internet.
Would I be able to get the display input from my gtx560 while making the 11400 do the work?

Solution
I expect whatever issue you're having right now is with your old CPU. As an old GTX 560 is still more than fast enough for 1080p60 video. Bitrate is what matters for decoding. When I had a GTX 560 it handled Blu Ray without issue. Which is far higher bitrate than you'll find on any streamed video.

However, the GTX 560 only supports nVidia PureVideo 4. Meaning it can't handle any of the codecs which PureVideo 5-11 can handle. It's stuck with h.264 and outdated drivers. In all likelihood you're trying to decode through software not hardware. So, your old CPU can't keep up.

The hardware acceleration for video in the 11400 is only through the built in graphics. So, the 11400 will be doing everything through software decoding. Which...

You are correct here, I have an old phenom x4 925 which always chokes.

And you said
"So, the 11400 will be doing everything through software decoding. Which should be more than fast enough for 1080p60 video. As much older i5 and i7 handle a lot of software decoding tasks fine. "

Does that mean it will still put unnesessary stress on CPU or will it be like a 5% usage breeze to use its software decoding of 11400

I don’t know how much stress it would be. But even my i5-3570k could handle software decoding of HEVC. Which is far more intensive than h.264.

I never notice anything when streaming on my 11400. But I’ve never paid attention to whether I’m using software decoding on my 11400 or hardware decoding on my rx580. I tried turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox. But as far as I can tell looking at CPU and GPU activity in task manager. The online streaming video services get around that setting and still use my GPU.

Given how old the GTX 560 is. There probably isn’t much reason to keep using it with an 11400. By using the integrated graphics instead. You'll get Intel Quick Sync Video hardware acceleration. Which'll handle the latest video codecs including up to 12 bit VP9 4:4:4, 12 bit HEVC 4:4:4 and 10 bit AV1 4:2:0 at up to 8K. Anything you come across right now will be a breeze for it. As streaming video heck even UHD Blu Ray quality doesn't come close to what it can handle.

The GTX 560 only has a little more raw power. But for gaming the integrated graphics will handle hardware acceleration on a lot of advances in gaming which the GTX 560 simply can't use. So, generally the UHD 730 should be better for anything you plan to do. Only a little worse in some gaming aspects.
