[SOLVED] 1150 or am3 socket for 4k gaming

Hello i have this 2 platforms.. A gigabyte z87 oc force with a 4440 i5 cpu and and a asus crosshair iv extreme with a fx 8120 cpu.. I find the 2 platform's. Quite cheap and i hunt some deals time to time....i am focussing on on the new 2019 and beyond games...and i am planning to play in 4k. With 2 rx 570 asus strix oc edition in cf that i have around.. Witch platform would u go ? Dont suggest me new parts...i want to use what i have already...
Olso the review's on gigabyte mention that the specific motherboard is top on oc on 1150 ...how much can squeeze from a non k cpu

the 4440, but you'll struggle at 4k with Vram, 4GB is not enough really. the cards might also simply not be fast enough.

Intel platform obviously is better than AM3. There's no question about it.
But 4k gaming doesn't seem to be possible with your proposed config.

I can trade 1 of my rx plus 15 euro with a 8gb model... Should that fix the vram issue?

not really, you'd need 2 of them, Cross fire does not add vram together. And can crossfire 570's even do 4k at a decent frame rate?

4k gaming requires extremely high specs hardware (also expensive):

Intel 8th, 9th gen i7 cpu or AMD Ryzen R5, R7 cpu;​

high end GPU - Nvidia GTX 1080 ti, RTX 2080.​

Anything less will really struggle with 4k.

CPU you are more likely to get away with sub 60fps, but those 570's won't manage it.

well thanx alot all of you for the help...to tell you the truth...both boards sets cost me very little....its about 60 euros for both...so i am not losing nothing...
and its good to have them around...i like those boards more than the new stuff......
now about the rxs it seems i will not manage to keep ultra settings above 40s?
forget to mention i am only playing single player games ...not stuff like pubg etc
