[SOLVED] 1151 v2 /w 1151 v1

hey, i want to know if i can use a 1151 v2 cpu on a 1151 v1 mobo, i know this is not recommended but i wanted to see if i can try if it works

it doesn't work. there was a video once by.... was it der8auer? I don't remember. it would be compatible but Intel rearranged pins to keep it from working.

unless you know a good deal about electrical engineering and have the tools to mod the socket properly it won't work. furthermore I think they also would need a hacked BIOS to do so.

TL;DR: No it doesn't work because Intel likes money.
