1155 or 1150?

Should i go with 1155 or 1150? Can't decide yet. Also should I get an i7 or i5? I've only seen one i7 1150.

The 1150 socket is a newer generation of processor, if this is your first build or a clean build then I would recommend you go with that.

If your applications are heavily threaded then go with the i7.

What size and what air flow requirements?

What will they be used for? CPU cooler? Case cooling?

120 mm and for case cooling. For air flow and static pressure.

makes little or no difference as most fans are mislabeled... as either high air flow or static pressure... you need to measure both to see how efficent a fan is...
best you go for high cfm fans for the cpu. and balance the cfm from intake to outflow for the case. with a slight preference on positive case pressure as it will help keep dust levels down...

linus tech for instance says us sp(static pressure) fans for the cpu and af(air flow) for the case. when in fact theres no actual difference in the fans other than 1 runs at 200rpm faster so gives better sp numbers. pure marketing hype for people that dont understand...

if you want good fans you pay for them (noctua nff12/14) if you want quiet you'll pay for them 2(noctua(undervolted), be-quiet,arctic, there are others)... but its better to pay for good or quiet over a brand... anything under 20DB and has 50+cfm is considered decent... as a general rule sleeve bearings tend to be quieter than ball bearings and fluid bearings are quieter than sleeved.
