Question 11700KF only using 4 cores and 8 threads instead of 8 cores and 16 threads

My 11700KF has been fine for almost a year, and even a few hours ago. I just tried launching a game and I got really bad FPS so I went to check on Speccy and Task Manager to see what was going on. I had only 4 cores and 8 threads activated, and my CPU was 90C! I tried going through my bios, and the msconfig trick and it still shows I only have 4 cores. What can I do?

The msconfig > boot > advanced > set cores to the correct amount and reset

And you do not 'set' that to anything.
Rather you Uncheck the relevant box. That puts all cores into play.

But, a screencap will let us out here see what you are doing.
