i had in mind a bkcl oc.I'm pretty sure those Xeons have a locked multiplier. You would have to do a base clock overclock.
*Edit: Also, that Xeon has a Turbo Boost of 3.5GHz, which is only for a single-core at a time; but the all-core turbo should be at or above 3.0GHz.
I'm not sure what you mean by "good deal". That would be relative to the cost and usage of the CPU.
I see they go for around $320 on eBay. If that's the case then I'd just get a new Ryzen 7/9 or Core i7/i9.
