Hello so I recently got a new pc, and I want to put more ram. Meanwhile I save up money to buy a 16 gig kit, is it okay if I put my old pc ram into my new one? My current one has dual channel ram 8 gb running at 3200 mhz, but I have another stick of ram that is identical to the current one but it just has a lower speed of 8 gb. My new pc only has 2 ram slots, so would I be better of putting 12 gb of ram running at 2666 mhz or 8 gb 3200 mhz? For the 12 gigabyte one the configuration will be 1x8 2666 and 1x4 3200. Any help is appreciated and I just want the answer to my question.
