12 GB of RAM Enough?

Hey guys, so I'm looking to stream some older games (PS2, Gamecube, N64) to Twitch. I don't need extremely high-end quality, passable is fine. At the moment, I have an HP Notebook with 4GB of RAM. When I tried to stream, I had no luck, and as far as I could gather, not having enough RAM was the main issue. So, my question is, if I buy an 8GB physical RAM, and insert it into the available slot, will this allow me to stream reasonably smoothly? Thank you very much for your time.

Streaming puts a pretty big load on the cpu as well, could possibly be that the cpu doesnt have enough power to stream seamlessly

Your internet speeds also need to be taken into account, mainly upload speed. As stated though the process lacks performance in the area of streaming as well
