12 Gigs of Ram Installed Only 8 Avilable.

Hello everyone Hopefully Someone Can help me. I have installed 12 gigs of DDR3 Ram when i got my motherboard installed. After a few days I checked my system and it is only showing that 8 gigs are being shown. I have an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 MoBo. Another Question I have .. If i would Update the BIOS would it fix the Ram problem or am i screwed. ?

I'd update the bios regardless if it fixes the issue as it improves system stability. Anyways, is your bios showing 12GB? If not, try re-seating the ram. Install them into the orange slots.

Well come to find out its just 2 bad sticks .. *sigh* i never had to replace the Mobo I'll Update the BIOS tomorrow my daughters sleeping an i would have to run out an get a flash drive

Krzyimprt You were right I updated the BIOS and everything is firing on all Cylinders now .. Thank you . all ram Installed and Accounted for..
