I play pc games at 1080p high settings with 60fps.My monitor is just 60 Hz.Gaming on 120 hz monitor with 60 fps is worse or better than a 60hz monitor with 60 fps?
Can anyone explain in details?
playing at 60 FPS on either 60hz or 120 hz would be the same experience game wise. Now where a 120hz monitor excells is it allows you to play games at up 120FPS making a much smoother gaming experience.
Games on more fps feels smoother and will enable you for faster reaction.
Max fps you can see is capped by the monitor's refresh rate.
Max/average FPS on a game, you can get depends on the your PC (processor, RAM and GPU)
60 fps on 60Hz and 60 fps on 120Hz are the same.
120fps on 60Hz and 60fps on 60Hz are also the same.
120fps on 120Hz is better than 60fps on 60Hz.
120hz just shows the limits, it's all opinion based. If you prefer a smooth frame rate and 60fps is around what your PC's average max fps in games is around 60fps then I'd stay with a 60hz monitor. If your PC is more than capable of achieving 120fps then I'd definitely go with a 120hz monitor. Regardless for me I would want to go for the 120hz monitor since I play games like CS:GO; however, if you're someone who gets motion sickness when playing games at an unstable fps then I'd go with a 60hz monitor. Realistically there's no good or bad monitor; it's honestly all just preference. Hope you Found this post helpful
My question is that 60 fps on 120hz monitor gives any sluttering problem?
My friend said that 60 fps on a 60Hz display would look better (smoother) than 60fps on a 120Hz display
