$1200 budget gaming pc

[Homework]

I would like some help with graphics card recommendations and maybe psu as well. (Looking to upgrade in future) I already have an os. I'm up for suggestions to help me get the best of my money.
I like to play games such as csgo, lol, and soon, games like fallout 4, etc. I don't mind playing with high/med settings as long as I get 60+ fps. I have this monitor already and I love it but I am starting new and giving my brother my old setup so that we can play together.

The difference between your build and mine is that mine uses the new skylake architecture, it uses the new Z170 chipset, has a better CPU (6600k vs 4690k). And has DDR4 where the Z97 chipset can only use DDR3.

And a major difference, it uses a GTX970 where your build uses a 960. To make it fit within your budget i would go with a cheaper monitor, but that is up to you.

If you decide to go for this build you can ofcourse choose a black or white NZXT S340.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think your build looks solid and worth me waiting another month to get all the parts. Out of curiosity, how long do you think this build will last b4 having to upgrade again?

The processor should be alright for at least 4-5 years, you also have the possibility to overclock it to increase its performance and thus it can still run games at high/ultra settings in a few years. The GTX970 will also be alright for quite a long time. Right now it will run pretty much every title at high/ultra on 1080p. And you can still overclock the card. But you can expect the card to still run atleast medium settings in 3 to 4 years.
