1200p fps math

So I really want to get a monitor that happens to be 1200p. There are alot of benchmark for 1080p, 1600p, and 1440p but none for 1200p. So considering the difference in resolution between 1200 and 1080 is 10% is it safe to take 90% of the average fps usually shown in game benchmarks for 1080 and assume that should be roughly around what to expect for 1200. Or am I just like way off. Brutal honesty is appreciated.

1920x1200=2,304,000
2073600/2304000=.90
2304000/2073600=1.11

so yes 10% is about as good as it gets, the 1-2fps you would be off isn't going to affect your gaming experience.
1920 x 1200 screens are hard to find now. At one point before the catch phrase 1080p/fullHD took over computers had all kind of 16:10 aspect ratio screens.

Your guess seems good. I have not seen huge differences with 1920 x 1080 vs 1920 x 1200 in games(I am clinging to this 1920 x 1200 sPVA screen until it dies because I can not stand the sharp drop off in dark colors[so under a certain point all colors become the same and blacks that are much more dark purple] on many current screens.).

i have a 780 and really aiming to get as close to an average of 60 fps as possible with games maxed out. 1200p makes that a little more difficult. Its a breeze with my current 900p monitor. Hopefully it wont be anything too close to the extreme dip of 1440 with a single 780. Kinda makes me wish I would have saved a little longer and got the 780 ti. Eh 40% more money for 15-20% more performance doesn't seem like a good bargain anyway.
 
You should be ok. I played games for years on a 5870 at that resolution.

I am sure some games will not be perfect as many other things effect performance as well(game coding being on of them)

I see too many users want ultra 60 fps with no slow downs ever. Truth be that good on some games and not others. Your card should do very well IMO.

Really? I actually really want a 1440p monitor. Its an Asus and about $500.00. I just didnt want to have to invest in an sli setup to get consistent 60fps on max setting. High resolution, color depth, and overall image quality mean way more to me than super high frame rates, as long I'm averaging 60 fps on most games I'm happy.
 
The difference from 1920 x 1200 is not that big compared to 1920 x 1080(just a bit taller). Now getting 2560 x 1440 should look great for games and general use.

Just note that that is still a 16:9 ratio and it would be 2560 x 1600 for 16:10

It may be worth checking this out. The 2560 x 1600 is a bit more demanding, but still should give you a general idea.
