Hello,

I have an ASUS VG27WQ monitor which supports 144hz over HDMI. The monitor is connected to a 1060 6gb over HDMI.

If I boot the laptop with the external monitor plugged in and set at 120 hz or lower, it loads up fine at startup. If I connect it after the laptop has booted at 120hz it connects perfectly. If the computer goes to sleep, upon wake the monitor also wakes up fine at 120hz.

At 144hz, I get an HDMI no signal error at startup, when I connect it via HDMI when the computer is already on, or when I wake the computer from sleep.

The only way to get it to work at 144hz is turning it off at the power, turning it back on, and then connecting it before it falls back into standby (orange light). It can't seem to connect at 144hz from standby, only once it's been turned off and back on again.

My spec:
Asus FX705GM
Windows 10 Pro
i7-8750
32gb ram
1060 6gb

I have updated all drivers, and am using a HDMI 2.0 cable. If relevent, my laptop display is also @ 144hz.

Thanks.
