120hz or 144hz With G-sync?

I have G-sync on and want to know if I should set the monitor to 120hz or 144hz? Currently it's at 144hz.

If it says 144 hx "on the box", you should run it at 144 Hz. Doesn't seem like 144 Hz would show as an option if it could only handle 120 Hz.... you would use 120 hz if using Lightboost tho as 144 hz is not supported AFAIK.

Yes, it's a 144hz monitor. I was just wondering if it made a difference performance wise. I heard 120 is better.

Lightboost doesn't support 144 hz .... so if you didn't have G-Sync (i.e a VG248QE w/o the $200 G-Sync addon), Id use 120 Hz.

With G-Sync go for the better setting.

If you are using G-sync, there is absolutely no reason to use anything but 144hz. Its a variable refresh. It matches your FPS, so why narrow down the range? What you might want to do is use a FPS limiter while at 144hz to prevent the latency issue that happens somewhere between 130 and 144 FPS.

The only reason to use 120hz is if you want ULMB mode, but that doesn't work with G-sync. You would use one or the other, but not both.
