Question 120hz over HDMI on ps5

Sorry if this has been asked multiple times, but I have found many conflicting answers while researching. I have an mg248qr monitor and will be buying the ps5. I found the manual online and it shows 1920x1080* supporting 120hz over hdmi and regular 1920x1080P capping at 60hz over hdmi. It quotes “you must select one of the * timings for enabling ELMB or 144hz feature with a compatible gpu graphics card. I’m not very sure of the differences between them. If anyone could help clear this up it let me know if I will be able to run 120hz over hdmi on console it would be much appreciated. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/LCD Monitors/MG248QR/MG248_English.pdf

I have the same monitor does anybody know how to enable the 120 hz ? im confused because it should do 120 hz ? if you have a monitor that has that refresh rate and hdmi 2.1 cable with up to 8k
