Is there any real difference as to most games when it comes to a 120hz v.s a 144hz monitor? Im almost finished my full build and im just stuck on whether to get a 120hz or 144hz monitor.

Solution
If you have a 144hz monitor you can always set it to 120 and lower refresh rates if you want. So you can have more room in terms of refresh rate options if you go with a 144hz monitor. But no, there is no difference in feeling or anything if that's what you mean. There is mathematically a greater advantage at 144hz over 120 even if it is very little, but you most likely not be able to notice anything.

most likely only an advantage if you can actually hold 144 fps or higher the whole time
