Hello everyone, i want to buy cpu deciding between 12100f and 12400f, i know 12400f have more cores and is stronger, but i only plan to play on 1080p and with gpu similar to 1660s or little more powerful, nothing fancy in other words, so my question is - is it even worth getting 12400f with such gpu?
I plan playing only 1080p as i mentioned, thanks !

Just an FYI, If I were you, I'd pick up something that has an iGPU meaning the non F SKU's since an iGPU can and will come in handy when you have to troubleshoot discrete GPU related issues.

That being said, I'd get an i5.

What are you current specs?

hey thanks for answer

I have rx 580 8gb 10105f, but i'm not upgrading but building another budget pc for 1080p if i were upgrading maybe i would just bought new gpu, atm i have :

Msi h610m pro mobo
Corsair Rm 750x psu
32gb ddr5 5600mhz cl40 ram

So atm i want to buy cpu and m2 ssd ( now i have Lexar nm620 1tb) so i will buy same again i guess..

As you see everything is ultra budget here (except not ram maybe)

price difference where i live is like only 15 euros, but it's not about that, i will never own 4070 or something like that, so if i'm going 1080p and older gpu maybe there are no difference between cpus ?
