I just bought a Phenom II x4 965 not too long ago and I got the 125w version. I was reading some reviews and I was having some issues getting even close to 4GHz with it.

Isn't the new revised version supposed to tun at 1.375V? and not at 1.4V

Could it be that the BIOS isn't updated to correctly support the CPU? I know there are updates for my MSI 790FX-GD70, but I don't have a damn floppy drive to do the update

Floppy? I've never done a bios update with a Floppy. Either you can run a program within windows from MSI or boot into the bios and install it from a flash drive. Read their instructions.

The Vcore of your CPU is listed to max out at 1.4V

The old one at 1.425V

Hmm...that's odd. I wonder why this site says the "stock" setting are at 1.375.

seems odd to me....

My 955 BE at supposed stock of 1.35v runs at 1.28v after vDroop, using auto settings. My motherboard has a "normal" setting of 1.30v by default.

What is your vCore set in BIOS? Are you using auto, or manual voltage?
