The 128 is 139.99 and the 250 159.99. Is the pro series speed a significant amount faster that I will notice in boot time ect? Or is the extra capacity more valuable?

Solution
Not in boot or load times, only in write times. The read speeds are both the same on the EVO and Pro. The only real advantage to a Pro besides write speeds is warranty (the 250GB 850 Pro comes with a 10 year warranty vs 5 years on the Evo). You probably will be upgrading anyway 5 years from now so the Evo should be fine unless you plan on keeping this drive until past 2025.

The info you rec'd certainly doesn't square with my experience. I have both the Samsung 840 Evo 250 GB & the Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB. Admittedly the speed differences between those two models isn't enormous but the 850 Pro is faster in both boot & access times. I would unhesitatingly advise you to go for the Samsung 850 Pro which Newegg currently has for $159.99 + 2.99 shipping. If you can swing it $-wise you won't be sorry.
