128 gb pendrive

i have 128gb pendrive, it is not working properly.
when i insert it format it message is dispalyed. datas are not stored on it .what is the solution

Is this a drive that you got for a price that seemed too good to be true? There have been a number of posts on the forum about counterfeit 128GB drives that don't work properly and aren't really that large.

if it is not conterfeit, have you tried formatting it?

There are various possibilities of facing this issue, one the most common is the pen drive must be defective or the the usb port may not be supporting the specific pen drive. Always check whether the pen drive is connected properly in the usb port.
You can also try formatting the pen drive once and then re insert it again in the port.
You should always buy pen drives or any other electronic products from a trusted seller only.
