Hi,
i just bought a new dimm of 128 MB RAM, and after I put it into the slots it was recogized by the BIOS and by windows as 64 MB only.
On my Abit ZM6 (256 MB max) I already had 2 modules of 64 MB each.
When I have the 128 MB module inserted alone or in combination with just one of the 64 MB modules it is recognized correctly as 128 MB. But whenever I try to use all three dimms at the same time there is just 192 MB of RAM instead of 256.
I already searched the archive and tried to switch the dimms in the slots but - no success.
Can somebody help me?

BIOS version JT supposedly fixes a DIMM incompatability problem. I don't know if it fixes your problem.

All subsequent BIOS updates should also have the fix.

You can find ZM6 BIOS updates <A HREF="http://www.abit-usa.com/english/download/bios update/bios-zm6.htm" target="_new">here</A>.

<A HREF="http://www.abit-usa.com/english/download/utilities/uti-01.htm" target="_new">Here</A> is the Award Flash program.

Have your tried changing the order you install the memory? I have found the it makes a difference how they are arranged.
