hey guys, currently have a problem with my 1280x960 stretched resolution in CS:GO when it runs at 144hz. it has grey transparent lines going in a horizontal wave, but this problem goes away when I have CS set to 120hz. i'd like to play it at 144hz, but the lines make it nearly unbearable. it's not any form of screen tearing I believe.
the resolution itself is a custom resolution I had to make because my CS:GO didn't have 1280x960 set automatically. here is a screenshot of the timings I have for the resolution.
i've tried out 1280x960 stretched on H1Z1 KOTK and it worked fine, but i'm not sure how to check my refresh rate to make sure it actually is 144hz on that game.

thanks!

First, why would you STRETCH the screen and distort the image?

*You know you are actually now MISSING part of the left and right which is giving you a disadvantage in the game? You're just creating the MIDDLE part then stretching it to fit the screen.

It's custom, so there's obviously some incompatibility. I doubt I can solve that.

Why not just choose 1366x768, 1600x900 or some normal 16x9 ratio?

Not "stupid" though I think it's obviously a 144Hz monitor, and that his custom resolution messed things up because it works otherwise.

The PROBLEM is that there are other TIMINGS involved. You can't simply change the resolution and assume it will work. When you choose a PRESET from the Windows desktop all the timings aren't shown but they are properly applied when you choose them.

I'm sure it's possible to do, but he'd have to change the necessary data.

if you've played CS:GO at a higher level or at all, you'd know the benefits of stretched. it makes the models appear bigger, and it's a resolution that i've used in the past with an older monitor. the monitor itself is an Asus vg248qe, capable of 144hz.

that aside, i'd like to solve this issue even if you disagree with the reason of me using the resolution. is there anything you could do to help me?
