Hey Guys, first of all - This is my current rig -

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100 92.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Extreme EATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon 6950 2GB DDR5 256-Bit
Case: Corsair 500R White ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 700W ATX12V Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

(I'll probably be getting an EVGA GTX 680 4GB in the future)

So, will a 128GB SSD be fine for me? Cuz I got 4TB of HDDs for storage and all. I need it for Windows + Games + 2-3 apps like Photoshop.

I'm looking at the Samsung 830 128GB right now, is there anything better than it? And do I really need to go with 256Gb? Currently, my system is running on the Caviar Black - 1TB - 260GB is being used. (30GB of downloads which can be excluded) So, back to question one - Is 128 enough? For a rig like this.

I need the answer quick!

Yes, if you plan on using it for the os and a few games + a few programs, then yes i would get at least a 256.

Get whatever fits your budget. The crucial m4 and samsung 830 are always good choices.

I have OS + Programs + Photoshop + 2 games = 80GB and still plenty of room on a 120GB (111gb actual). I think it's enough for me.

Samsung has excellent reviews, but also good Intel 330 or M4. Look for a good deal. You probably would never notice difference anyways.

There's a minor difference between The 840 Pro and 830, you won't feel it unless you run a bench program. Crucial M4 and Samsung 830 were the most reliable SSDs out there.

Depending on your needs of how much programs and games you need to install, I see the 128GB is enough for basic needs.

EDIT: And If I were you I'd exclude those green drives and replace them with blue ones, and since you got an SSD you don't need the WD black, blue drives are great performers and silent.

Yeah I personally have a 830 128gb and a 1tb data hdd, Win7 plus 10 games from steam and room is down to less then 20gb, so I would go with the 256gb or at least think about a 180gb for headroom
