12GB Ram 8GB Ram usable in windows.

So I got 12 Gb Ram hooked to my motherboard with 3x4gb chips. Windows 10 only shows 8gb usable. Bios shows 12gb and I just don't understand.

What mobo, CPU and model #s of the DRAM. First guess is the DRAM is from multiple packages and one of the sticks doesn't want to play nice, can try increasing the DRAM voltage + 0.05, if no joy need to know the hardware to try and help

MOBO : ASRock970m pro
CPU fx-8350
ram is 2 sticks of KINGSTON HyperX FURY Black Series - DDR3 1600mhz and one stick of 4gb ram 1600mhz (dont know what company, its from my old pc)

The 4GB is probably having trouble, more than likely f 1600 it's based on XMP where the Fury run off PnP - try starting with just the Fury sticks in slots 1-3 or 2-4 from CPU - boot to BIOS and raise the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and the CPU/NB voltage up to 1.25, save, exit, shutdown and add the odd stick, boot and see what happens
