SOLUTION: Re-adjust your PSU Cables with force and put them in place. (24pin and 8Pin wires both)

Hey there!

Heres a fourth thread on the same issue. haha.
No idea if you've seen the recent ones but anyway.

Suspect is Corsair RM750x

The Issue :-
ASUS Anti Surge Triggering
> Thought the power surge from outlet caused it.
> Turns out PSU is ok i took it out of the case and using it since.
> Noticed ASUS Anti Surge not triggering afterwards, Concluded, Thermal issue.

Now recently
Random ASUS Anti Surge trigger after 8 hours of use.
> Tempreatures within 30c Operational. (PSU)
> Checked bios and saw +12V Rail at 11.131.

Some notes :-
Once it reaches a low and does a reset, it'll stay like that until i turn off the PSU for some time.
Usually under loads it would spike down to 11.56 and then back to 12.00

Now the help.
Is this worrisome?
Corsair mentioned about turning off ASUS Anti Surge.
But now after looking at this voltage drop I dont know if i should risk it.

Now i'm just new into the power supply mumbo jumbo as you know, because for the past 10 years i didnt have it now all of the sudden this (Since last year).

So do you think the input voltage from my outlet is causing it or the PSU is just bad?

Its hard to reproduce it to get it RMA'ed since it is very random and happens only at load at different times.

Update :- I've reattached the wires but this time harder, i noticed it went to 12.096. Before it used to idle at 12.000 never above.

+1.

11.13 is out of spec. The minimum for the +12v is 11.4v (+/- 5% = 11.4 - 12.6). Unless my math is incorrect.

It should be mentioned that the AntiSurge won't lie to you. It means there is something fishy with the PSU. I mean it might work fine for the life of the PC if you turn off AntiSurge.

Glad to see your answers friends.

Now,
I have a few questions.
This PSU is a month old.
and it didnt do anything for the first 2-3 weeks.
This just suddenly started happening.

So i want to know whether there is something i've done wrong. Lets assume PSU isnt fault but the fault lies elsewhere.

Where and what would you have me check first?

Do note i dont have a multimeter yet and its gonna have to be a long drive to get one. (I Live bit further from the main city.)

I have took off the cables and put them back on firmly again.
This time its giving me a reading of 12.096 instead of the usual 12.000.
No idea if that helps but Lets see for now.

.096 volt is within the margin of error. If you keep on having weird issues with it, then RMA that new PSU. It's possible a cable connector wasn't fully inserted; if so then the issue shouldn't occur again. Since your PSU is under warranty for the next several years, there's no rush to get a DVM to check voltages. Wait to see if the issue occurs again ad if it does, then it's time to get a DVM.

I took out my cables and then forced them back in firmly.
Now its stable between 11.904 - 12.096.

I guess it was the loose 24pin cable that caused the issue.
