For a lot of things actually,
But, it can be in the general use for Gaming, however, I do need the computer to run a lot of things, Virtual machine usage, dual booting OSs, and for any future reason if I would like the to do some graphical work as well.

In essence, I may be asking to do a little of both from each department, haha.

I think 5820K is better option than 6700K.

Solution

i7 6700K and 5820K both support DDR4

Yup! If you only play game then 6600K is more than enough. Buy a better GPU.

For video editing you need better CPU

Awesome, overall, was everything alright with the build?
Brought down the CPU to an I5
And just decided to get a r9 390
(To bring down the price)

Didn't seem much use for the i7 if i'm not doing intensive recording\ encoding and such.
