$1300 Credit @ Best Buy for Laptop

I bought a G74S in March of 2012 to be used as a gaming laptop to take to Afghanistan during a deployment. Long story short, the USB 3.0 slot never worked right after bringing it in 3 times. Best Buy is going to "junk it out" for me and now I have $1299 to get a new laptop with. I don't need a gaming laptop anymore and certainly don't want a 10 pound laptop either. I want a light, thin, but fast laptop. I've always been a fan of Nvidia over ATI, but with the right endorsements on here, I could be swayed. I don't game nearly as much as I used to, but still like to play from time to time. What do you suggest?

I would get this, not only is it fast, the 13.3 inch IPS panel at 1080p is absolutely gorgeous. If you see it in store, you will instantly buy this. Its also super light (~2.2 lbs or 1kg) and great build quality. Oh and its also touch screen.

Seconded. Sony has a great product line right now. Certainly better quality than anything from Samsung or the fruit.
