Keyboard, mouse, and headset not included. That guy above's build with the GTX 980 is unnecessary, because you can overclock the 970 to match the stock 980 and it's $200 less.

If you don't want to overclock, get an i5-4460 and drop the cooler.

Forgot to change it from the i5 4690k, but it's still good this way if you ask me, offers plenty of possibilities for upgrades and overclocking in case he's interested later on. Besides, it's not that much more expensive than the other motherboards.

Just realized I did the same! I see what you mean, given Broadwell in the future supporting Z97.

Dear lord people are all over the place tonight. Half of these posts don't even meet the OP's requirements.

I don't usually pick cases, keyboards or mice. But, I left $100 in the budget for a good mouse and keyboard. The best thing you can do is go to a local PC store (BestBuy, Fry's, MicroCenter) and get your hands on a few of them to see what you like.

Glad I could help!

I wanted to let you choose the keyboard because I don't know which type you like.

This is a great build with the fastest i5 on the market (that isn't an overclocking version). However if you want to go a little higher up, the xeon 1230v is basically an i7 4770.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ykWmBm

You get incredibly fast boot times.

Maxing out all games.

A quiet build.

Good airflow.

A great PSU.

Lots of storage.

A quality case.

And RAM that is very fast.

A build that is great overall and doesn't skimp on the case, CPU, etc, like some of the builds on this thread.

EDIT: If you don't need the monitor, remove that and get the xeon 1230v and also get a wireless adapter from a build above.

OP didn't ask for a monitor. Hehehehehe. Good for remembering the adapter though, I totally forgot about it.
