1333 cpu on a 1066 motherboard

I have this motherboard: GA-945GCMX-S2

from the link it says:
Support Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme/ Core™ 2 Duo FSB 1066 Processor
and also:
GA-945GCMX-S2 (rev. 6.6) is able to boot with Intel® Core™2 Duo supporting FSB 1333MHz (OC)


now I want to get the E8400 cpu which is 1333 fsb
do I need to do anything in bios for it to work?

that is a hardware revision, look at your mobo and see what revision it is.

CPU list support says it does support that the E8400 here: http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-945GCMX-S2-rev-66#support-cpu it also says you need bios version F6i you can download here: http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-945GCMX-S2-rev-66#support-dl

guys anyone know how do I OC my motherboard to 1333? I want it to fully support the E8400 cpu (which is 1333 FSB)

but this motherboard supports only DDR2
so why does it say on the motherboard site that I can use 1333 cpu with OC?
are you sure you are correct about the ddr3?

It's one thing that CPU can work with 1333MHz FSB and completely different thing weather MB can. If you put that CPU in an MB with DDR3, 1333MHz RAM would work at that speed.

so considering i will not change my motherboard what do you suggest me to do?
just put my e8400 inside the motherboard and thats it? let it work at 1066?

Exactly, you wouldn't be able to see difference anyway, maybe in benchmarks some slight difference but not at real work.
