1366x768 vs 1600x900 on 15.6" laptop touch screen

On a 15.6" laptop touch screen, is there a noticeable difference between 1366x768 and 1600x900? I'm shopping for a new laptop, and have it narrowed down to two options. I prefer all the features of the 1366x768 option (double the memory), but am worried about compromising on the screen resolution. No gaming. Occasional cad work and movies. Mostly pictures and music.

I prefer higher resolution vs. lower resolution so that I can see more on the screen at once. I have not seen any 15.6" laptops with 1600x900 resolution. They are usually 1366x768 or 1920x1080.

Just go to a BestBuy store and find a 15.6" laptop with a 1080p resolution screen, then change the resolution to 1600x900 to see how it looks on a 15.6" screen. When you use lower than the max resolution of the screen text and images will look slightly less sharp. But on a laptop with a 1600x900 resolution screen everything should look really sharp.

RAM can usually be upgraded unless it is soldered into the motherboard. Some laptops are like that to cut cost.

There is huge difference between the 2. I have used laptops with both resolutions and I prefer the higher one as it makes it easier to read icons and watch videos. It will also make a difference in cad as you will have more space to model.
