I don't get it!!!

I'm using a FireWire audio interface for all of my sound needs, as I'm an amateur studio owner.

I had to move my whole setup to a different room because I'm meeting a client tomorrow (today actually, <12hrs from now) so I did.

Everything was fully powered off before I unplugged anything, but I managed to forget to plug the FireWire interface back in before powering the system up. All of the sudden, my computer doesn't recognize ANY FireWire devices except the card itself.

Even after powering it off, plugging in and trying again, it shows that there's power, and my 1394 card shows up in the device manager, AND I've tried installing new AND legacy drivers to no avail. I've followed the different short tutorials here and there and NOTHING has worked.

I'm on windows 10, fwiw.

I have absolutely no f-in idea why this suddenly decided to happen, THE NIGHT before I have a client to work with, nonetheless. I mean, this setup worked brilliantly just hours before in another room.

What gives??

JESUS! I ended up physically uninstalling the whole 1394 card, unplugging the interface, booting, and then reinstalling and booting again. That was a grueling 2.5 hours I probably could have saved!
