14.1" big enough?

Hi,
I'm considering to buy a new laptop. As size and weight is important to me and my budget is limited I will buy a notebook with 14.1" lcd. I'm using a 17" monitor at home at 1024*768. I want to use the notebook at 1024*768 too. Is there any difficulties to read texts at that resolution. What are your opinions and experiences?

I've got a laptop with a 12.1" screen that I run at 1024x768, and I think that's just right for a laptop. I think it gives the best blend between portability and ergonomics. If you're concerned about size and weight, go with 12" - if you have at least average eye sight you'll be able to see it fine, and you'll find it much easier to carry around than a 14" incher, in both dimensions and weight.

I've used a 12in quite a bit also (iBook) and text is amazingly easy to read.
