I have an R7 260x, my PC would get a black screen, with the monitor and PC still on. My keyboard doesn't respond and I'm forced to reset my computer. I checked for loose wires, checked my DVI cable, checked for errors in my PC.. nothing. My PC is 1 month old.
I suspect it's a driver issue, since people experience the same thing from the web. I want to confirm if this is true or not. If Radeon cards have buggy drivers or is the R7 260x a faulty card.
Somtimes I get a black screen at random. It can happen anytime, when I'm browsing the net or if my PC is afk. Totally random.

Stable is 13.12. It's on their drivers page. Stable is just a term for the most recent release (beta doesn't count).

In addition to trying the stable drivers, you could try downgrading to 14.2 or 14.1 and seeing if it helps.

I've been to 14.2 beta. It's buggy. I don't know if there's a not beta version. My graphics card came with a disk with drivers inside. Perhaps I should use it? If so I can't use Mantle

I'll say it again. It's on their drivers page. It's 13.12. Come on man this is easy stuff.

NOTE: This is for Windows 7/8/8.1 64 bit. If you have 32bit or something else, then go to the appropriate section.

There's a possibility you still run into your issue, this is just one step to help troubleshoot it. If you still have your issue, then maybe it's not actually related to gpu drivers. Could be something else instead.

I'm optimistic about the 13.12 driver. My previous card is a radeon 5670, no issues or black screens since I bought it in 2011. In early 2014 I downloaded 14.2 beta drivers for Battlefield 4 and I got a lot of black screens. So I bought the R7 260X, still getting it. So it must be the drivers
