Hi there, I am looking for some advice on purchasing a new laptop. Where is the best place to buy for the following spec which has good customer care and warranty too.

I am looking to buy a 14" laptop that's no lower than i5, prefebly i7. Need 6 Gig of ram, good for office and will run company of heroes 2 very well. Graphics card would be a massive advantage.

Touch Screen optional.

I need it to be 14" as I spend a lot of time flying due to work and anything bigger is too big.

What do you guys think?

14" Lenovo IdeaPad Y400 (Ivy BridgeCPU) or Y410p (Haswell CPU) series:

I would go for the $849 Y410p because it has a 1600x900 resolution screen. I currently have a Y470 with a 1366x768 resolution screen. While playing games at that resolution is fine. On the productivity side, I find it extremely limiting so I am currently looking for a laptop with a 1600x900 resolution screen, but I prefer 1920x1080.

A word of warning though. 14" gaming capable laptops tend to run hot because of the limited space for a good heatsink. The i5-2410m CPU in my Y470 typically hits 92C when playing games (even reviews confirm that temp) , it hit 99C when playing GTA 4 and my CPU started to throttle down. My advice is to go into Advanced Power Management option and change the max Processor Performance to 99% which will disable Turbo Boost so that the CPU will not overclock itself. I typically set it to 90% when playing to keep the CPU temp in the mid 80's. That basically means my CPU runs at 1.8GHz instead of 2.3GHz.

While, I like the portability of a 14" laptop, however, I am considering a 15.6" laptop simply because it allows for a larger heatsink and perhaps more room for air to circulate. For example, based on reviews of the 15.6" Y570, the max CPU temp was around 75C which is far lower than 92C.
