14000 MB GTX 780? Please help!

I was trying to check that the gpu I was supplied was correct. I ordered a NVIDIA GTX 780 6GB overclocked from Palit. The software they supple gives me 6004 mb shown... about correct. However when running dxdiag it aproximates 14167 MB of total memory.

Is Dxdiag wrong or am I missing something? Why is this being shown?

total memory is different from dedicated memory

Total memory includes a part of the system memory that can be used by the GPU. It is slower but in some cases it is useful.

theres only 3gbs and 6gb version. dont sweat it man
