Question 140mm slim-profile fan with 140mm mounting hole positions

Is there a slim-profile (12mm-15mm thickness) 140mm fan with a true 140mm mounting-hole pattern, not a 120mm mounting pattern?

Slim is thickness. Most 140mm fans that have a square looking frame will be standard 140mm mounting holes.

Yes, I know that "slim" refers to thickness. I am asking if there is a 140mm fan with "12mm-15mm thickness" (slim-profile) whose mounting hole positions are true to the 140 form-factor, not a 140mm fan with 120 form-factor mounting hole positions.

My apologies. After further research my initial Google search turned back a bunch of false hits. Yeah, seems 140mm slim fans with standard 140mm mounting holes are a rare breed. Strange.

I actually bought such an adapter a few days ago. It adds significant thickness, unfortunately. The Noctua one you suggested looks a lot better than the one I got. Thanks for that link.

Yeah, the funnel type ones won't work cuz if you had the extra 10mm of thickness to work with, a standard 140mm x 25mm fan would be a better choice hands down.

Where is this being mounted? I've done exhaustive searches for this type of fan in the past, and it seems they do not exist, however, I've never seen any 140mm case fan location that did not also already have a 120mm mounting hole pattern there as well. I've mounted more than 15 different 140mm fans with 120mm mounting patterns on a variety of different cases that were designed to use "up to" 140mm fans in specific locations and they ALL have supported also using a 120mm fan, or a 140mm fan with a 120mm mount, in those locations as well.

It would be helpful to know WHY it has to be 140mm, as I have never encountered a case that ONLY had 140mm mounting holes in any given location.
