I am in the market for a monitor that is at least 144hz, but no more than 165hz, as anything more than that is not applicable for my usage. I also am looking for a 27 inch display, with g-sync. My price range is $300-500, but I am hoping to not get that high.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, FreeSync would be fine. I wasn't aware until now that Nvidia cards can support FreeSync displays.
Okay, there are many more options with FreeSync; however, do be aware that some (usually cheap) FreeSync monitors will not work with Nvidia cards.

First, it's only GTX 10 series and newer Nvidia cards that will work with most FreeSync monitors.

I would prefer one of these because they all are IPS, which has better color display. You didn't mention what resolution, so I included both 1080p and 1440p.

Monitor: Acer VG271 Pbmiipx 27.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor ($263.98 @ Amazon)
Monitor: Asus VG279Q 27.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor ($289.99 @ Amazon)
Monitor: Acer VG271U Pbmiipx 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor ($369.99 @ Amazon)
Monitor: Asus MG279Q 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor ($423.99 @ Amazon)
Monitor: Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27.0" 2560x1440 165 Hz Monitor ($426.09 @ Amazon)

Thanks man! I'll be sure to check some of these out. And to clarify, I am looking for a monitor with a resolution of 1440p.
