Question 144 hz flickering only in WoW

Hello all!

I have a 144 hz hp 25x monitor that's only a few months old. when in World of warcraft i experience a weird weird flicker, no lag, or other performance issues, only the flicker. i can run other games such as Overwatch, Apex Legends without any issues.

i have the following equipment in my pc:
Geforce 1060 (6gb)
16 gb ram
i7 8700

how are you connected too it if not displayport then that could be the reason.
