Hello,

I'm fairly new to this PC world as I watch a few youtube videos to learn some stuff but I don't know enough about building a pc. At work the guys talk about their gaming computers and they've recently discussed having gaming PC's to play during lunch. I'm interested in joining in and I was wondering what would be the most budget friendly 1440p 120 fluid FPS build for a game like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. This is strictly for gaming, no streaming but maybe some editing as I solidworks, photoshop, and illustrator.

However, I won't worry about editing if it takes a toll on the budget friendly price. I'm hoping to spend no more than $650 max but I don't know if it's possible. My budget is open for discussion to purchase parts that will fit these specs. I'm fine with a mid tower or mini itx build.

Solution
Ok, great. Maybe I'll just upgrade the video card down the road since it's a little out of my range. The RTX 2080 Ti's are just insane. The 1080 Ti SC2's I've found used on ebay but I'm a little skeptical.

I would say a new RTX 2080 would do it, they are almost as fast as the GTX 1080Ti.

An yeah, don't buy a used GPU these days.

Not possible, the Graphics Card alone would cost that much.

I started looking around and I ran into Logic Increments. I noticed they have a Rainbow Six Siege build in their recommendations that falls into the "very smooth" category. I was wondering what anyone's input is.

Now I had a 1080 Ti but cut the price down a bit by looking at an RTX 2060 from LI. I don't want to lose too much but it did shave off quite a bit.

That will not work for 1440p 120fps but for that budget you can get 1080p 120fps

Better suited for 1080p 120fps or 1440p 60fps gaming. Any game can hit 100fps+ ease at 1080p. For competitive gaming I recommend sticking to 1080p instead of 1440p.
